Description

The TCSUNBOW X3 1TB is a 2.5-inch internal SATA SSD for compatible laptops and desktop PCs. It uses a SATA III 6 Gb/s interface and a slim 7 mm housing, so it can replace a 2.5-inch SATA hard drive where the system has a suitable drive bay, data connection and power supply. The 1TB capacity provides room for an operating system, applications, games and everyday files without the moving parts of a mechanical disk.

Published specifications for the X3 1TB list sequential reads of up to 530–560 MB/s and writes of up to 510–530 MB/s. These figures describe maximum transfer rates under test conditions rather than constant speeds in every computer. The SSD uses 3D NAND flash memory, enabling quiet operation without the vibration of rotating platters. The drive uses the SATA interface; installing it on an older SATA II connection can reduce achievable transfer rates.

Before installation, check the computer's supported drive thickness, mounting arrangements and SATA data and power connectors. The 2.5-inch form factor does not fit directly into an M.2 slot. For laptop upgrades, a compatible 7 mm SATA bay is needed. Actual speed depends on the SATA controller, file sizes and workload.
