sennheiser-hdr-160-additional-wireless-over-ear-headphones-for-rs160-without-transmitter
Sennheiser HDR 160 Additional Wireless Over-Ear Headphones for RS 160 Black

The Sennheiser HDR 160 is an additional pair of digital wireless over-ear headphones designed for use with the Sennheiser RS 160 home listening system. This is the headphone receiver, rather than the complete RS 160 transmitter-and-headphones package.

Its circumaural, closed-back design covers the ears and provides passive isolation from surrounding sound. Dynamic transducers with neodymium magnets reproduce stereo audio across a stated frequency response of 18 Hz to 21 kHz.

Audio travels over the RS 160 system’s 2.4–2.48 GHz Kleer digital radio link, which carries uncompressed audio. The published operating range is approximately 20 metres in an open area. With the TR 160 transmitter set to multi-user operation, as many as four compatible pairs can listen to one source. These are not Bluetooth headphones and cannot connect directly to a phone or TV without an appropriate transmitter.

Headphone-mounted buttons provide volume adjustment, power and mute. An adjustable headband and replaceable ear cushions suit prolonged home listening. The headphones are finished in black and weigh approximately 226 g excluding batteries, as stated in the manufacturer’s specifications.

Power comes from two AAA batteries; compatible rechargeable NiMH AAA cells can be charged inside the headphones using the dedicated charging connection and suitable Sennheiser charging equipment. Sennheiser quotes approximately 24 hours of operation and around 16 hours for a full recharge. The headphone receiver has no built-in calling microphone.

Compatibility note: The compatible TR 160 transmitter is required and is not included with this additional HDR 160 headphone receiver. It does not support standard Bluetooth pairing.

Technical specifications

Brand

Sennheiser

Model

HDR 160

Series / Generation

RS 160

Model Number / MPN

504250

Colour

Black

Headphone Class

Over-Ear Headphones

Form Factor

Over-ear, closed-back, circumaural

Connectivity

2.4–2.48 GHz Kleer digital RF; compatible TR 160 transmitter required

Wireless Range

Approx. 20 m in open area

Drivers

Dynamic transducers with neodymium magnets

Frequency Response

18 Hz – 21 kHz

Maximum SPL

106 dB SPL

THD

< 0.5% at 1 kHz / 100 dB SPL

Noise Isolation

Passive, closed-back

Battery Life

Approx. 24 hours operating time

Power

2 ?
