razer-thresher-7-1-for-playstation-wireless-gaming-headset-for-ps4-ps5-and-pc-wireless-headphones
Razer Thresher 7.1 Wireless Gaming Headset for PS4 and PC Black & Blue

The Razer Thresher 7.1 for PlayStation 4 is a wireless over-ear gaming headset for PS4 and Windows PC. Its dedicated 2.4 GHz wireless USB audio dongle connects the headset without a conventional Bluetooth link.

A pair of 50 mm drivers fitted with neodymium magnets delivers sound across a manufacturer-rated 12 Hz to 28 kHz frequency range, with 32 ohm impedance at 1 kHz. Dolby Headphone technology provides virtual 7.1-channel surround processing from compatible Dolby audio sources, supporting positional awareness in games. The 7.1 effect is processing-based, not seven separate drivers in each ear cup.

The headset connects through its supplied 2.4 GHz receiver, with a stated wireless range of up to 12 metres. Its retractable, unidirectional boom microphone is designed for in-game voice chat and stows inside the ear cup when not needed. Dedicated headset controls adjust listening volume and microphone volume without having to use the console menu.

An integrated rechargeable battery provides up to 16 hours of wireless operation according to Razer. Charging takes approximately four hours using the Micro-USB charging port.

The black headset has blue accents and measures approximately 196 ? 214 ? 104.8 mm. Razer quotes a weight of approximately 402 g. The receiver has an optical audio input for supported PS4 surround-sound configurations, with a corresponding optical cable and Micro-USB to USB charging lead detailed in the manufacturer’s documentation.

Compatibility note: This exact 7.1 model is specified by Razer for PS4 and PC. Dolby surround on supported PS4 configurations uses the optical audio path; PS4 Slim lacks that optical output. It is not the separate stereo Thresher for PS4 version with a 3.5 mm audio socket.

Technical specifications

Brand

Razer

Model

Thresher 7.1 for PS4

Series / Generation

Thresher

Model Number / MPN

RZ04-02230100-R3M1

Colour

Black / Blue

Headphone Class

Gaming Headset

Form Factor

Over-ear, circumaural

Connectivity

2.4 GHz proprietary wireless via USB dongle

Wireless Range

Up to 12 m

Drivers

50 mm with neodymium magnets

Frequency Response

12 Hz – 28 kHz

Impedance

32 ? ± 15% at 1 kHz

Surround Audio

Dolby Headphone virtual 7.1 surround

Microphone

Retractable unidirectional boom microphone

Microphone Frequency Response

100 Hz – 10 kHz

Microphone Sensitivity

?38 dB ± 3 dB at 1 kHz

Microphone Signal-to-Noise Ratio

? 55 dB

Battery Life

Up to 16 hours

Charging

Micro-USB; approximately 4 hours

Controls

Headset volume, microphone volume, power

Platform Compatibility

PlayStation 4, PC

USB Dongle

2.4 GHz USB wireless audio dongle with optical input

Included Accessories

USB wireless audio dongle, optical cable, Micro-USB to USB cable

Dimensions

196 ? 214 ? 104.8 mm

Weight

Approx. 402 g

EAN / UPC

8886419371298

https://ssd247.co.uk/products/razer-thresher-7-1-for-playstation-wireless-gaming-headset-for-ps4-ps5-and-pc-wireless-headphones
